ONE. Please have some common courtesy in terms of roleplaying (no godmodding, metagaming, etc.) I am over 18, & therefore there will be NSFW content present on this blog including but not limited to smut, violence, gore, etc. it will be tagged accordingly as ‘nsfw, trigger’ etc. TWO. this is a very important rule to remember. My Leon's portrayal is completely different from what the game developers showed us thus far. I re-adjusted his life background, stories and some events to be fitting to my interpretation and writing. I wish to lead him the way I want to and he is not 100% canonically correct. If you expect this I am sorry to disappoint you. I keep only few events from the canon valid for my portrayal and the rest got re-written / re-adjusted through my headcanons. His behavior / the way he talks and speaks should be treated with detachment / neutrality. I am not affiliated with the RE fandom. THREE. I'm an open person when it comes to shipping and such things but as I claim Leon from the Vendetta movie to be my main verse it means that he suffers a lot from ptsd, depression, emotional discharge and other mental illness problems at his age. I need a lot of chemistry to make a romantic ship work. FOUR. This rule should be pretty obvious but I wanna clarify that as well. I claim Leon in my main verse to be around 40 years old which means I won't be shipping him romantically with muses a lot younger than him. A huge age gap weirds me out even in fiction and so if you wish to ship I'm not opposed to use any verse of Leon that fits it for example if your muse is 25 I don't mind shipping them with my RE4 verse where Leon is 27. Otherwise I refuse simply to ship romantically & sexually if there's a very wide age gap between muses.
FIVE. My activity may be off & on sometimes as well as my focus on some asks / threads. It is always nothing against you or that I’m not interested. It’s not the case obviously I just reply to things when I have an idea so my writing won’t look forced or poor quality. Sometimes I answer right off the bet, sometimes I take my time, so please be patient with me. SIX. Don't interact with me if you're a minor, racist, transphobic, homophobic, biphobic, proshipper, express harrasment or vagues a lot and so on if you fit the general do not interact criteria. If you see me interacting with a problematic person and I have no idea feel free to warn me via dms. SEVEN. I ask you to read my rules or just throw a glance here and there and please remember them. I can tell if you read them or not through interactions or ooc talk and if I see that you didn’t it will be a soft block for me. I don’t write them down for fun. If I followed you It means I went / will go through your rules and respect them so please do the same for me. EIGHT. To state this now and here I have no dupe anxiety. Really, if you're a Leon who wants to write / plot a twins AU or explore him meeting his older self for some reason I'm really down and I find it pretty funny and entertaining so never be afraid to follow me back or hit me up if your muse is a Leon too and you have some ideas.CREDITS

EARLY LIFE The topic of family is something Leon tends to avoid. However, this is not from an unpleasant history related to them or domestic problems that are inevitable in any family. He never felt it was something worth mentioning. His childhood was radically different from what he really dreamed of. Being the son of a businessman and a doctor, Leon always wanted to climb towards his dreams. Ever since he was a child, he was someone who stood up for justice whether in a regular fight at school or in the backyard among his peers. He was a quiet child, always studying to have high grades and bring joy to his family. It wasn't until he realized that his passion was defending others that he decided to take a track to become a police functionary. His parents were very supportive towards this. Their son's passion always came first, and Leon was their pride. They paid for his school, courses and training so that their son would have the great future he dreamed of until Leon reached young adulthood. Before he graduated from the police academy, there were health problems in his family. His father who suffered from lung cancer through excessive smoking and carelessness about his fragile condition caused some fear among his loved ones, including Leon. The passing years put his father on his death bed, a hospital bed and a distraught mother trying with all her strength and experience as a doctor to improve her beloved husband's condition. The despair associated with this and the inevitable facts slowly reached Leon at their worst. He could not cope with the bad news so he needed to look for an alternative that would enable him to escape the problem. That's when his first problem with alcohol appeared. He began to drink away his problems and the fear associated with the loss of his father.A few months later, when death struck his family, Leon graduated from the police academy with a high score and began working at the station located in his hometown. His girlfriend and mother tried to support him despite the hard times, but since his father's death and his growing alcohol problems, Leon couldn't make it any easier for them. He became more and more drunk with each passing day unable to stop, and later when there was a breakup between him and his partner Leon practically drank himself into unconsciousness. The next day when he was supposed to start his job at the Raccoon Police Department he woke up in a tragic state, with no sign of his mother at home. Only a note left on the kitchen table informed him of his mother's departure on duty. A devastated Leon, aware of his late arrival at work, began to gather himself. He felt as if his life was collapsing like a house of cards in the wind. When the disaster of the outbreak happened, and he found himself at the heart of the attack. In the back of his mind, all he could think about was whether his mother was safe or even alive. Years passed after the events in Raccoon city, and the only thing Leon has left of his father is his middle name, and memories of a letter left by his mother which the officer still has somewhere with him. PERSONALITY Can Leon be called a caretaker ? Certainly not gentle but yes, it would be correct given his personality. The moment when he takes everything into his own hands is the most important for him. The safety, comfort or well-being of someone becomes his unconscious priority. Even if he doesn't necessarily have to help that person, he nevertheless agrees to offer care or guarding. Leon usually lives in the present moment and does not plan small things for the future. If the situation requires him to analyze it in depth then he will spend much more time preparing every possible way out of the situation as much as his experience and knowledge of the subject allows. His relaxation usually takes place in the midst of a friendly environment that influences how he behaves. He derives more joy from quiet places or very familiar places in which he spends most of his time. Not only because they are already more familiar to him, but Leon himself feels welcomed in friendly surroundings that help him cope with stress or mounting problems. This could be his home, a park, a bar where he spends a lot of time or even a nice restaurant. In such places it is much easier for him to relax and not feel tense with the amount of people.
Leon can be a tough nut to crack. Certainly getting to know him is very hard and motivating an agent to reveal something about himself borders on a lot of effort put into it, but if you do succeed Le.on becomes much more warm and friendly during a developed relationship. From the outside he may look like a wreck of a person, cold enough to make someone's bones chill with a mere glance, but inside he is in truth a devoted friend as well as partner. Leo uses sensory experience much more than verbal experience. Most of the time instead of saying something he shows it, feels it as well as wants someone else to feel it, not because he doesn't like to open his mouth to the person sometimes but he has a huge problem putting words together into a sentence to say them. He knows what he wants to say just can't get the words out so the only thing left is touch. It is also crucial during the process of getting to know him. His instinct usually makes him run away from another person's unexpected touch even if it is not hostile.
A sudden poke at him or a surprise hug makes his muscles stiffen in a second and he subconsciously acts as if he is being attacked until his mind senses that it is not a hostile person. Having fought for so many years to survive, his instincts play a big role in how Leon perceives a sudden and unexpected touch. It usually stresses him out, and at least for a moment can cause an anxiety spike which, completely with a trained brain response, causes a sudden discomfort that disappears in time when he realizes it's nothing he should fear, no attack on his person.
leon has a hard time with keeping up to a conversation with people he doesn’t know. He does enjoy spending time with close friends and greatly opens up to someone when they get to know him and a connection forms between him and the other person. He most likely feels insecure and awkward with strangers and values his time alone to recharge his social skills. He’s lacking a lot in that regard but he deeply appreciates those who stick around him and try to understand his own decisions and the way le.on approaches things.
He takes time to think about reasonable solutions before doing anything and wants the person to understand. Leon may appear quiet and reserved sometimes, even anxious around unknown people to him. It’s not a bad sign but to fully ‘ tame ‘ him it requires a lot of understanding which he needs especially when his problems stack up and affect his mental health to the point that he feels lost in himself rather than lost in society. He often expresses his care and affection through simple gestures rather than discussing feelings because he simply can’t put them in words.
LIVING PLACE Leon lives in a relatively small area. Of course, as a government employee, he can probably afford a really big house, but he never saw the point since he lives alone. It's not the smallest, but it's also not the largest. His dislike of living in the city center stems solely from the noise and fumes produced by vehicles. Exhaust fumes or smoke, the smell alone makes him squirm on the inside, and Leon simply cannot stand the heavy odors in the air, so his best option was to find a house in the suburbs, closer to the forest. Leon doesn't care about fancy decor, so his house is simply a wooden cabin whose bottom is decorated with white stones, and because it's built on a slight hill, you climb the stairs to get inside, and beneath the living room is built a garage for his Ducati. The garden is almost entirely made up of wildflowers.
Leon had never tended to the plants before, so he didn't bother trying because he could just as easily leave / forget and the flowers would wither anyway. Behind the house, there is a small wooden balcony and a veranda with a grill and some garden furniture, as well as a small pond not far behind his house. The decor is quite simple. The interior and exterior of his home are decorated with wooden logs, laminate flooring, and antique furniture that he purchased at an antiques auction. Leon's house has a few rooms: the living room, which is connected to the kitchen and separated by a bar top, a bathroom with a bathtub and a small laundry room, his bedroom, and next to it a small, cramped room with a desk and his laptop where Leon works on reports and documents for the DSO. His house is so filthy that he hardly wants to clean it, and he is usually too tired or even drunk to do so.
There's lots of papers around the living room too and some clothes laying on the table or kitchen counters. Leon has never been all that messy but now his wants are relatively low to pick up and sometimes he is just too distracted and unorganized to clean. No one really visits him so he also doesn't see a reason greater than taking out the trash. Over the years, he's managed to roll a bit in that direction. DEPRESSION The story of his failed wedding and engagement boils down to the fact that Leon began to neglect the responsibilities and preparations associated with it. Generally starting from the beginning when Leon found a partner with whom he wanted to move on through life and plan a future not only related to their intentions together, but also involved developing and continuing to run his father's business. Leon wanted to become a police officer out of passion and vocation, but his partner was very supportive not only of his dreams but also of his family. Many times when Leon was studying and learning for the academy it was his partner who helped with household chores or his father who, with advanced lung disease, was less and less able to cope with jewelry-making.
The problem was that not only was his time limited but also the fact that Leon was too worried about his father's poor condition. No matter how many times he would try to persuade him to go to the doctor, to quit smoking, to get treatment before it was too late he was always met with the same answer, that his father was able to handle it himself. It is well known that Leon is a person who doesn't let go, and even if it were to take forever he practically devoted all his attention to persuading his father to get treatment. He didn't realize how serious the stage his disease was already in, and the usual unpleasantness began by belittling his partner, not spending enough time with him or transferring his personal problems to another person. Although Leon didn't do it subconsciously, too much of a burden was constantly being dumped on the person who shouldn't have carried it at the first opportunity. Time passed and it got heavier and heavier, his father eventually ended up in the hospital in a very serious condition and Leon couldn't bear it and got over it. His emotions are quite strong, even though he is able to keep a cool head they grumble inside.
This is when his first problems with alcohol began to appear. People like Leon are very prone to addiction by being sensitive to the perception of their surroundings and reality. The fact that his father ignored his requests and even started killing himself in front of him began to drive him to the edge of his endurance, and he had no other way than to reach for something equally unhealthy. Being only 21 years old, it was hard for him to control his emotions at times, and to silence them he reached for various radical or slightly lesser ways. That's when the first alcoholic tendencies and problems in his relationship emerged, and when Leon first got drunk to the point of unconsciousness before his first day of work after his father's death, it completely overflowed the blackness and all that was left was an empty bottle and an engagement ring when he left his house. Not to mention that while his father was in the hospital under observation to continue fighting for his life it was Leon who was treated worse and worse by his mother who experienced this fact as badly as he did. Everything was layering one on top of the other, gradually creating layers that he was unable to cope with, and the fact that his partner broke up with him and never wanted to deal with Leon again was understandable. Why? Because Leon did exactly what his father did. He was just like him. Even when he was already semi-conscious he could hear the words in his head that he would kill himself in the same way as his father.
At 40 years old, did Leon still want to be able to marry ? Yes, it was his dream to have a family but unfortunately in the world he lives in it is very difficult. If he were to say from the heart he would want the power to have a normal life and a partner until the very end but he knows that this is simply impossible. If only through his work as captain of the special OPS unit for DSOs having a permanent partner or marriage borders on a miracle. Maybe when Leon finally retires from his profession through age/injury/health. But as long as he can defend humanity I don't think his heart will ever stray from this path. No matter how much he suffers and how many more bones he breaks it was a calling Leon was born with so to be able to marry again is only going to happen once his work as a special agent is over.
It also adds to the fact that Leon, at his age and having lived through all the nightmares and going to hell and back, is simply not mentally and emotionally stable. The biggest factor that would probably wreck his next marriage or relationship is his depression. Leon often feels sad or hopeless especially when he has anything to do with his work and job. Another thing is getting no pleasure from things he usually enjoys like for example going out with someone. Sometimes Leon can seem like he's burnt out, unfocused or doesn't speak much. You can see his eyes run away from the speaker, he sometimes can't hear what someone is saying. All of this can not only mess up his time but that of another person which affects his own well-being just as badly. He doesn't sleep much but not even through he is haunted by nightmares or Anxiety.
Sometimes he spends his nights filling out papers which makes his fatigue and lack of energy worse. Often even his Anxiety can cause constant nervousness and frustration making Leon avoid conversations or respond quite cynically as if he is a pain in the ass to someone. It's as if he wants to be petty and get back at someone for being innocent because he is overwhelmed by his emotions or the situation that's why he also was pretty apathetic towards Chris when they met in Colorado about the incident with Glenn. Leon has also encountered many times in his life feeling worthless and kept blaming himself for things and deaths that were not his fault. All this as well as much, much more not only related to his depression but also to c-ptsd simply makes it impossible for him to have a healthy relationship that would last long, much less a wedding. Leon would like to be able to live in a normal world but this is just one of his many buried dreams atp.
